Carey Ryan, Dipl. O.M., MSTOM,  holds a Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago, IL.  She is nationally board certified in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine (NCCAOM).

Carey has been a member of Ann Arbor's community of health care practitioners since 2000. Her background in NeuroModulation Technique (NMT)  uniquely complements her Chinese medical training and practice.

In the fall of 2010, Carey completed a 300 hour post graduate training course at McMaster University in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture.  This approach integrates the traditional methods of Chinese acupuncture with a scientific understanding of the neurophysiological mechanisms of acupuncture.

Carey practices acupuncture in Ann Arbor, as well as in Royal Oak,
Michigan.  In Royal Oak she is on staff at Beaumont Hospital in the Integrative Medicine/Acupuncture Department.

In addition to her private practice and working at Beaumont,  Carey is co-owner and co-director of the Center for Sacred Living, a holistic, multidisciplinary wellness center located on the West side of Ann Arbor.

Since the spring of 2011, Carey has been the Vice President of the Michigan Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAAAOM).
